Promiscuous Girl
For a while, I was really into Apple-style animation trends on TikTok, so I decided to create my own lyric video inspired by the same aesthetic. I chose Promiscuous Girl by Nelly Furtado and Timbaland because of its fast-paced, clearly articulated lyrics, which felt perfect for this style of animation.
About the video
Previously, I also made a lyric edit for Rock That Body by the Black Eyed Peas. However, instead of using a camera in After Effects, I animated every element individually. This created a similar result, but was much more time-consuming and complicated. For this animation, I used the camera for the first time, which took some getting used to. In the end, though, it allowed me to create movement much more easily and smoothly.
Finishing touches
After creating the basic animations, I started adding more details, color grading, and small effects such as glow and subtle blurs. One of the biggest challenges for me was creating good and original transitions between the different scenes. In many cases, I think I managed to achieve that quite well. Overall, I learned a lot from this project, especially about working with 3D motion graphics and using the camera in After Effects. It also gave me a better understanding of how to combine movement and timing to create a smoother final result.
